What does Pico track?
Pico sees which app is in the foreground and its window title. It doesn't read screen contents, keystrokes, or anything inside your apps.
What data is sent to the AI?
Only app names, window titles, and durations are sent to generate your summary. No screenshots, file contents, or personal data.
How does the AI summary work?
Pico sends your recent activity timeline to an AI model, which generates a short, friendly read on how you've been spending your time.
What is a Focus Block?
Focus Blocks overlay distracting apps and websites for a set duration, helping you stay on task without fully closing them.
Why does Pico need Accessibility permission?
macOS requires this to read the name of the frontmost app and its window title. Pico can't interact with or control your apps.
Where is my data stored?
By default, your activity is stored locally on your Mac in plain text log files. If you sync with your iPhone, it's also securely uploaded so your activity can appear across your signed-in devices. To generate summaries, a brief timeline is sent through Pico's server to the AI and back, but isn't kept on the server.
Is my synced data secure?
Yes. When you sync between your Mac and iPhone, your data is stored securely and is only accessible to you on your signed-in devices.
